Ms Szwed-Ziemichód is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Faculty of Law and Administration. She is an advocate (attorney at law) registered in the Warsaw Bar Association and the tax adviser entered in the list of tax advisors in the Mazovian Branch of the National Chamber of Tax Advisors under the no. 12449.
She specialises in tax consulting (main area of activity) and legal consulting (AML, corporate law). She advises entities in new tech sector (mainly blockchain, virtual currencies, IT and GameDev), as well as entities from the financial and real estate industries.
Her professional experience includes comprehensive tax advisory - including ongoing tax advice, support for M&A projects, acquisition of assets, or organized parts of an enterprise. In her practice, she places the greatest emphasis on the implementation of optimal tax solutions, including reliefs for innovative entities (implementation of IP-box, R&D or other tax reliefs). Marcelina is also no stranger to supporting clients in audits and disputes with tax authorities, and before administrative courts.
Marcelina also has very extensive experience in advising clients in the HNWI sector, largely in the virtual currency sector. She is a highly regarded specialist in the taxation of virtual currencies and digital assets.
She is the author of many articles in the field of taxation of digital assets. She has been a speaker at numerous tax conferences, including the taxation of digital assets. She has also conducted numerous training courses, both for public and private entities, including training on the taxation of the virtual currency sector for branches of the National Chamber of Tax Advisors. She is also a lecturer on tax law and soft skills for the Warsaw Bar Application.
