Dr Długosz is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Law and Administration, where he also defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Limitation of the freedom of contract in insurance contracts for third-party account" (awarded with the Polish Financial Ombudsman’s Distinction). He also graduated in finance and accounting from the Cracow University of Economics and completed the International Study Program at Hochschule Pforzheim, where he obtained a certificate in international management. Member of the Regional Bar Association in Cracow. Awarded in Polish and international legal rankings for many years. In the ranking law firms of "Rzeczpospolita" daily, recognised four times as a Leader (2020, 2021, 2023, 2024) in the field of banking and financial law, as well as a Leader (2022) in the field of regulatory advice to the financial sector. Distinguished in the ranking of Chambers and Partners FinTech Legal in Poland 2022, 2023 and 2024.
He specialises and practices in financial market law, including banking law, payment services law, business insurance law, as well as in data protection law, consumer law and company law.
Dr Długosz has more than ten years of experience in legal advisory services, in particular to the banking, payment services, lending, insurance and e-commerce sectors. Since the beginning of his career, he has supported the development of innovation in financial services by advising industry players, handling the implementation of innovative solutions in the financial market. He has successfully represented clients in both administrative and judicial proceedings.
This partner has many years of experience as an assistant professor at the Cracow University of Economics, College of Economics, Finance and Law.
Legal expert of the Polish Organisation of Non-banking Payment Institutions (PONIP) and foreign and domestic financial and credit institutions. Coordinator of the working group on the digitalisation of corporate banking within the Forum for Banking Technologies, Polish Bank Association (ZBP), and advisor at the Special Task Force for Financial Innovation (FinTech) in Poland coordinated by the Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and the Polish API group and the Working Group on Artificial Intelligence (GRAI).
Dr Długosz is a well-respected speaker at numerous industry events and presenter of seminars, workshops and training courses for both financial institutions and regulators.
